Multi-site Church Internship in the UAE
Job Overview:
This Church Internship program is tailored to each individual intern, shaped around their gifts, experience, goals and plans. We spend time with the intern before they arrive to discover which experiences and training opportunities are best suited to them and their ministry goals. We can offer experience in all areas of ministry from children to youth, young adults to adult ministry. We can give interns experience in areas such as video production to small group leader training. We have over 90 different nationalities in the church so tailoring an experience to a particular culture is also a real possibility.
Responsibilities and Duties:
We would help to tailor a program for the individual based on their skills and their experience.
Proposed Weekly Schedule:
- Friday is ‘Church’ so busy all day.
- Saturday is a people day.
- Sunday is a day off.
- Monday involves staff meetings, planning and working out the week ahead.
- Tuesday is a day for training and meeting with people.
- Wednesday and Thursdays are the days when you get most things done for Friday.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in being part of a small group in a church.
- Experience leading a small group is a plus but not essential.
- Experience training leaders would be beneficial.
- Willing to live in homes of international families.

- All interns must formally accept and abide by OM USA’s Statement of Faith for the duration of the internship.
- Although a stipend to cover most of the living/ministry costs will be provided, intern will be responsible for bringing some funds with them to offset some expenses of their hosts, allowing for generosity, cost of visa renewal trips, local transportation, etc. Fundraising for this is possible.
- Our organization will provide tools and training to raise funds.
- Pre-Field training happens through on-line materials and Skype sessions with coaches and other interns for a few weeks leading up departure date. Includes debriefing with coaches on return.
- Options available from October 1 through the end of June.
- The length of time needs to be a minimum of 6 weeks as any shorter just doesn't give time to settle and see results.
- Intern will be provided with free housing with international families who are part of the Fellowship. Location will be rotated to stay with different families throughout the internship for a rich exposure to a variety of nationalities and cultures.
Qualifications of on-field supervisor:
- Ordained minister with over 25 years full time pastoral ministry experience.
- Five years’ experience on the field in UAE.
Accreditation:
Degree Credit available upon the approval of your university/college supervisors.
